Snack Date…with DATES!
This is a nice little snack or treat to give your body some energy! Great for mid-afternoon, before a workout…or if you are craving something salty and sweet!
Ingredients
- 1-3 Dates (depending on size) (Sometimes when I get dates, they are super HUGE! I will generally just have 1, maybe 2 for this snack. If they are little baby dates, I might have 2-3.)
- 1-3 Teaspoons Nut or Seed Butter (I really dig peanut butter, however, this can upset the tummy for sum, so get a nut/seed butter that fits your journey!)
- Sprinkle Sea Salt (Flakes are nice, otherwise fine sea salt is lovely too!)
Instructions
- Slice open your date(s) and remove the seed.
- Spoon in your nut/seed butter.
- Sprinkle with sea salt.
- Enjoy!
Notes
I have heard others say that this is a great alternative for a peanut butter cup…it can be I suppose! Personally, I just like it when I craving something salty and sweet!
Another variation of this that I really like is to swap out the nut/seed butter for goats cheese! That is really delicious! Give it a try!
