Coaching Practice Foundations: FUN!

This is me having FUN while working on my healing journey!

Last, but certainly not least, in this process of sharing my coaching foundations is FUN!


YOU GOTTA HAVE FUN!

Listen, the days are long and the years are short. (I think that’s the saying!) While it IS important to give your health and body the attention it needs on this journey…you gotta find ways to make this FUN! You can’t wait to live your life until your journey is complete….because, guess what?!? This IS the journey! This is LIFE! LIVE IT! Buy the dress, book the trip, go to the wedding, if you can…eat the cake!

I’m a wife, a mom, and so on…I CAN NOT just stop being those things to heal. I have had to find ways to work at my journey and still enjoy the holidays, go to a wedding, relax on a vacation. AND….you should too!

Ok, ok….so, ya’ll are gonna come at me like, “I can’t go on the weekend get away with my family…because the restaurant options…or how I look in my swimsuit”….trust me, I have been there, and YOU CAN MAKE IT WORK! It’s NOT going to help you to sit at home and constantly focus on what you feel you should or should not eat, the exercise you should or should not do, etc., etc., etc.!

EXPERIMENT, IMPROVISE….HAVE FUN!

So, this will take some experimenting to find what will work for you when you want to go out with friends or celebrate a holiday, or whatever FUN looks like for you. What you try the first time may not work….and that’s ok! Keep trying! The first Christmas that I was working on my healing journey, I tried making some of my favorite cookies “healthy”….and it was sort of a flop….ok, a BIG flop! Then, the first time we went away for a weekend and stayed in a hotel….I think my food bag was bigger than my clothing bag! Moral of this long, crazy post….find ways to have fun! Because that emotion, the feeling you get, the signals your body gets when you have fun….it’s super healing!
